The 'named' hero thing for DQ3 is really a story/narrative decision more than anything else. It lets me tailor the content better and make more of a 'meaningful' journey as you will have taken this character from their 'beginnings' to their... end.
;)
But you do get to change the name, I should add.

Let's see. 2 careers from this Lamuri tribe/clan/group. We're missing a Warrior one, now. I'm going to venture that part of the Quest will be in the jungles where this group lives. Should be fun.
Now, we just need some pirates. The cover makes me think of them.
