13 abilities. 11 from your equipment and 2 from career.

I've been thinking about rogue builds. You could really ramp up the passive effects [bleed, disease, venom] or go for heavy hitting combos [critical strike, dominate, raining blows, savagery, fortitude, darkpact]. I don't know what are rogue abilites at the moment so this is pure theory craft. For my 13 I think I'd go with something like.....
Cripple
Critical strike
Dark pact
Deep wound
Disease
Seeing red
Gut ripper
First strike
Deadly poisons
Poison mastery
Raining blows
Dominate
Leech
Leech could be good to make up for lack of healing. Poison mastery and disease would keep damage on your target. Not many speed abilites. Maybe they are important. At this stage, just throwing ideas around!

I'm still trying to work out the mage abilities. I think speed abilities will be important because you need them to win a combat. If you keep winning then you do damage. Confusing until we get the book. :0

YOu said it Permafrost. I don't understand why people are trying to make builds already. Its dumb. There are over 100 abilities there and we don't know anything about how you get them or who they are for. Its only a few more days til the book........

Isn't a forum meant to be about sharing ideas? i don't think anyone here is pretending to have any insight into the book and how abilities will pan out. Im sure we'll all be proved wrong and thats half the fun
@Exiled good list but think you need venom to have deadly poisons and poison mastery. So that is three abilities you need.
I've been trying to identify the career ones. Here are my suggestions...
assassin: venom and first strike (or deadly poison?)
shadowstalker: going with the shadow in the title, shadow fury and shadow speed. dark pact also sounds a bit shadowstalkery
pyromancer: burn and ignite (backfire?)
medic: refresh and mend
icelock: ice shards and ice shield
cavalier: shield wall and shield spin
witchfinder: no clue at all! There are some anti-vampire abilities like stake and reflect. perhaps they are witchfinder?
ranger: natures revenge.
inquisitor: i'm going on the paladin and holy theme. cleansing light and martyr perhaps.
I'm not sure on the other careers. Looks like a warlock and some type of elementalist (windblast, swamp legs?)

I agree with fluffy. I started to study the abilities but then I decided that I would rather discover them as I play through the game. I think you can analyse these things too much and it takes away from the fun. With all things (film, games etc.)I like to avoid too many spoilers and keep some surprises. But that is just me and everyone is different.
