Two quick questions

Hello everybody and specially Mr. Ward. First time here, but being playing a lot lately. So, right now I'm playing «The heart of fire» and I have two questions: first one: if I use snake strike and I inflict my passive harmful abilities... do they take effect in that moment, before the combat begins, or do they take effect at the end of the first proper combat round (i.e. after rolling speed and damage)? Second one: is there some kind of mistake with the «sure grip» ability? Because the text doesn't specify that you can only use this ability once per combat, so I have assumed that every time you roll a one during the speed phase of the combat, the ability kicks-in, and it sounds pretty powerful to me. Anyway, great gamebook saga. I have acquired the Reavers spin-off (sadly, shipping costs to Spain from Troubadour were just insanely high, so I had to acquire it through AbeBooks), and I've read that there is another DestinyQuest book «coming soon», but you've said recently that you'd like to move to other projects, so, is «The edge of time» still in development?
